When I go away tomorrow
    Will I stay here in my mind
I have had enough of looking back
    At what I've left behind
When the moment that I've longed for
    Is the moment I regret
Will I understand the reasons
    For the things I can't forget

When I think of all my dearest friends
    I feel them in my heart
Would we be so close I wonder
    If we weren't so far apart
At the peak of my desire
    I'm a million miles away
And its only when the flamed die down
    I know the words to say

Now the sun prepares the morning
    As the moon prepares the night
For the miracles that happen
    In our hearing and out sight
And if I could see and hear the pulse
    Of every night and day
Then I would not be concerned about
    This part I have to play

    Or turn it from my door
There is only one thing that I know
    I never can ignore
If I call your name in darkness
